Skin Cancer: A Viewpoint and Medical Prospective

A cancerous cell development on human skin ,which medically known as skin cancer is very well known, Nowadays, each and every section of this world has a number of skin cancer patients and the count is upgrading due to the extreme artificial life changes. Skin cancer should be now an issue of huge concern.  As per the medical researches, the most well known skin cancers are either squamous cell carcinoma or infection of basal cell carcinoma. There are also cases where both the cancerous cells affect a person together. This is very widespread among the inhabitants of the US.

Cause:

Generally, the condition of a skin cancer appears because of an excessive exposure into sun. A resource says that the US National institute of Health has observed that Ultraviolet Radiations or the UV rays of sun can cause harmful damages on skin and can cause cancer.  The health condition can also occur due the age factor. In cases, where the patient is of more that 50 years, can face the disasters of cancer of skin. It has been observed that the skin damage that happened in the childhood days because of many negligence or any severe injury or even an abnormal exposure to sun, can also lead to many types of cancer. In a case where the patient is working in an environment, which is full of harmful toxins and radiations, it can cause to cancer. The infection can be seen especially in those children and manual worker who are the labors of illegal diamond factories, glass and crockery factories.  Skin cancer can also occur because of other health conditions and /or some of the radiation treatments, which are used to treat other cancers related to liver or lungs. The people who are the inhabitants of tropical areas with extremely humiliation in the atmosphere, the fishermen who most of time are in the risk of many infections can suffer with skin cancers. This can also occur due to neglected viruses, long and untreated injuries and any other fatal health conditions.  If a patient has a family History of skin cancer, he/she can also get the infectivity. An skin cancer condition can also take place due to the infection of Buruli Ulcer, a well-known infection of tropical regions.

Types and Symptoms:

Types of skin cancerDermatologists say that any mild injury on skin should be treated on time, or else it can develop cancerous cells if comes in the connection of harmful toxins. Harmful toxins are widespread around the nature and environment. Unusually, the cancerous cells of skin have two types one is melanoma and the other one is non-melanomas.   The type non-melanoma is not very serious and there is a number of patients who have the infection of non- melanoma cancer. A person who suffers with an infection of skin cancer can have small but hard moles on various parts of skin. These moles can be red or pale and waxy or fleshy and can have a shining. In a  cancerous condition, a small sore in skin can lead to severe bleeding and inflammation or at times can become hard with a pain. Skin can also have many unknown patches and an abnormal growth in the skin tissues.

The process of Diagnosis:

In a diagnosis process for the Skin Cancer, the physician divides the condition of cancer into two parts. One is the local condition where the cancer affects only the upper or lower parts of the skin. Moreover, in a case of metastastatic cancer, the cancer cells may cross the limits of skin. In a test process, the physicians usually go for a skin biopsy. Here, the doctors take some tissue of the affected parts tests in a laboratory. In a severe condition, the physician also checks the particular part of the body where the cells have grown.  They also do many types of X-rays.  In a test process, the doctor checks the actual circumstance of the cancerous cells on the skin.

Treatments:

Photodynamic TherapyIf the cancer that has occurred on the skin is mild that can be treated by oral medications and therapies. However, there are also some medicated procedures to treat a severe type of cancer. In the initial stage, the physicians generally adopt a freezing method for the treatment, where they free the cancerous cells through liquid nitrogen. There are also Laser Therapies; these kinds of therapies are used to heal an external cancer. There are also several chemotherapy drugs, which are used to kill a cancer cells. The medications are also given through injections. The PDT or Photodynamic Therapy is also used to kill the cancerous cells. In addition, this therapy makes the skin thin and thus they become light intolerant. The cancerous cells that can result in severe case can be removed through surgery also. However, physicians generally try to adopt other methods of treatment. If a patient is not mentally prepared for a surgery, the physicians can go for a Radiation Therapy.  If the cancer cell is significantly large and have severe bleeding and swelling, the physicians adopt Mohs Surgery. Here, the physician needs to check every layer of skin, test the samples to find the abnormal cells and then remove them through a surgery.
